Getting Started

New to the network?

What is Prep Sports Central and who is it for?

Prep Sports Central is a high school and college sports media company operating a national network of credentialed sports journalists, photographers, and videographers. The network is open to State Directors who want to run PSC in their state, as well as individual creators — photographers, videographers, and writers — who want to cover local sports under a nationally recognized brand.

What's the difference between a State Director and a Creator?

A State Director is the regional operator for PSC in their assigned state. They build and manage a team of local creators, maintain school and athletic department relationships, and are responsible for the quality and volume of coverage in their territory. A Creator (photographer, videographer, or writer) works under a State Director, covering events and publishing content through the Streamline platform. Some creators operate independently across multiple states with approval from corporate.

How do I join the network?

To become a State Director, start at the State Director Program page and submit an application. For creators and photographers, reach out to the State Director in your area or apply through the Creators program page. Media outlets and partners should visit the partner portal.

Is there a cost to join as a creator?

Creator membership in the PSC network is managed at the state level. Most State Directors do not charge a joining fee — your value is in the coverage you produce. Streamline access for credentialed creators is included as part of your network membership. Contact your State Director for specifics on your state's creator terms.

Accounts

Managing your account

How do I reset my Streamline password?

Go to streamline.prepsportscentral.com and click "Forgot password" on the login screen. A reset link will be sent to your registered email address. If you don't receive it within five minutes, check your spam folder or contact your State Director to confirm the email address on your account.

Can I change my role from Creator to State Director?

Role changes require corporate approval. If you're a creator who wants to apply for the State Director program in your state (or an open state), submit a State Director application through the program page. Your existing creator account and portfolio will be retained and transferred to your new Director account if approved.

How do I update my profile and portfolio?

All profile and portfolio updates are made inside Streamline under Account > Profile. You can update your bio, headshot, location, specializations, and published portfolio links at any time. Changes are visible to your State Director and to the PSC main site immediately after saving.

Credentialing

Credentials and access

How do I apply for a PSC media credential?

Log in to Streamline and navigate to Credentials > Apply for Credential. Select the event, sport, and school or venue. Your State Director will review your application and approve or deny it within 48 business hours. For recurring season credentials at a specific school, your Director can set up a standing approval so you don't need to apply event-by-event.

How long does a credential approval take?

Standard credential requests are reviewed by your State Director within 48 business hours. For large events (playoffs, championships, invitational tournaments), allow at least 5 business days as venue-level approval from the hosting school or athletic association may also be required.

What do I do if a school denies my credential on the day of an event?

Do not create a confrontation. Document the denial (time, person, reason given), leave the restricted area, and contact your State Director immediately. Do not attempt to re-enter. Your State Director will follow up with the school's athletic director and, if necessary, escalate to the PSC corporate team for resolution before your next scheduled appearance at that school.

Can my credential be suspended or revoked?

Yes. Credentials may be suspended for violations of PSC conduct standards, misuse at non-PSC events, or at the request of a school or venue. Revocation is permanent and results in removal from the network. Disputed suspensions can be appealed through your State Director to the corporate team within 30 days of the suspension notice.

Payments

Billing and revenue

How does the State Director revenue model work?

State Directors operate the PSC brand in their assigned state under a revenue-sharing model. Directors earn a percentage of revenue generated through their state — including advertising, sponsorships, premium subscriptions, and event coverage fees. Full terms are outlined in the State Director agreement. Contact the corporate team through the partner portal to request a copy of the agreement.

How do I update my billing information?

Billing details are managed inside Streamline under Account > Billing. State Directors can update their payment method, billing address, and subscription plan here. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle. Contact corporate support if you need to apply a credit or dispute a charge.

Are there any fees for creators?

Creator access to the PSC network and Streamline platform is generally included as part of your state's network membership — there is no separate fee for photographers or writers. If you are operating independently across multiple states or requesting features outside your standard creator tier, your State Director or the corporate team will discuss any applicable terms with you directly.

Technical

Platform & technical questions

What browsers and devices are supported?

Streamline and all PSC corporate web properties are tested and supported on current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on both desktop and mobile. Internet Explorer is not supported. For the best photo upload and gallery management experience, we recommend Chrome or Firefox on a desktop or laptop.

What are the photo upload limits and file requirements?

Streamline accepts JPEG and PNG files up to 25 MB per photo. For gallery uploads, you can batch-upload up to 100 photos at once. Minimum resolution is 2,000 px on the longest edge. RAW files are not accepted for published content — export and compress before uploading. Full technical photo requirements are in the Photo Standards guidelines.

How do I report a bug or platform outage?

For bugs or unexpected platform behavior, log the issue through Streamline's in-app feedback tool (Settings > Report an Issue). Include a screenshot and a description of the steps that triggered the problem. For widespread outages affecting multiple users, your State Director will communicate a status update within two hours of the issue being confirmed. Critical outages during live events should be escalated to your Director immediately by phone.

Is there API access for media partners?

PSC offers a data API for approved media outlet partners — providing access to scores, standings, rosters, and event metadata for high school and college sports in covered states. API access requires a signed partner agreement. Contact the corporate team through the Media Outlets program page to start the conversation.
